The town has a thriving manufacturing industry, despite the fact that some of these industries have gone out of business to exist. The Horsham branch is owned by the pharmaceutical firm Novartis. It was once part of Ciba-Geigy. The RSPCA as well as the British television station ITV both have their headquarters in Horsham.
